Ty lynne was first introduced to yoga by lovely Elizabeth while living in the Thailand jungle in the 1990s. This time in the jungle was beyond transformational and Ty has so much love and gratitude for this time in her life and for the community and jungle nature that guided and held her.
Awakened to the wonders of yoga practice, Ty studied at Sivananda London while living in the city and then spent precious time at various ashrams in Thailand, Nepal and India to deepen her practice. She completed her first teacher training with Sivananda Yoga at Gaunts House (2003 200 hour, studying with the amazing Swami Durgananada, Swami Kailasananda, Swami Sivadasananda and Swami Anantananda and then a second training studying with the lovely Duncan Hulin and Devon School of Yoga (2011-2013 500 hour).
Ty continues to study at Sivananda London, at ongoing workshops with visiting teachers and at weekly classes.
Ty is inspired by the vastness of the yoga path, from the physical practices that take such wonderful nourishing care of the body to the rich philosophy and teachings that underpin it all. As well as Ty’s ongoing lifejourney with yoga, she is also inspired by Dances of Universal Peace, awakened by the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta and Buddhism and in awe of the divine beauty of Mother Nature. Ty lives on Dartmoor with her family and teaches weekly classes nearby.
From her heart, Ty offers her thanks and deep gratitude to all her teachers.
